Significance of 15th July:

World Youth Skills Day is a UN observance on 15 July highlighting the importance of technical and vocational skills for youth. World Zoonoses Day is observed annually on the 6th of July to mark the successful administration of the first rabies vaccine by Louis Pasteur. Punar Yatra or Bahuda Yatra, the sacred return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra from the Gundicha Temple back to the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. After spending seven days at the Gundicha Temple, the deities will embark on their homeward journey atop their massive wooden chariots: Nandighosha (Jagannath), Taladhwaja (Balabhadra), and Darpadalan (Subhadra).
