Significance of 15th July:

World Youth Skills Day is a UN observance on 15 July highlighting the importance of technical and vocational skills for youth. This year's theme focuses on Youth empowerment through AI and digital skills. 1955- Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister was awarded the Bharat Ratna (India’s highest civilian honour) by then President Rajendra Prasad. 1955- Eighteen Nobel laureates sign the Mainau Declaration against nuclear weapons, later co-signed by thirty-four others. 1979- Prime Minister Morarji Desai resigned from his position. 1997- Mahesh Chandra Mehta is an environmental activist.
