Significance of 18th April:



Good Friday is a significant Christian observance that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is a solemn day of prayer, reflection, and fasting for many believers worldwide.


In 1982, the International Council on Monuments and Sites announced April 18 as World Heritage Day. This was approved by the General Assembly of UNESCO in 1983, to enhance awareness about the importance of cultural heritage and diversity on the planet alongwith monuments and conserving them.

1946- The International Court of Justice holds its inaugural meeting in The Hague, Netherlands.
