Significance of *18th March*:


*Events* that took place on this day: 

 

*Holi* is one of the most vibrant and *colourful festivals* celebrated in India. The festival marks the blooming of spring after a long winter season. Holi *signifies the triumph of good over evil* and it's a day when people forgive and forget, and let go of the negative energies from their lives to start afresh. Another legend associated with the festival is that of Lord Krishna. In the Braj region, Holi is also known as  *Rang Panchmi,* in commemoration of his *divine love for Radha.*



On 18th March, *Ordnance Factories Day* is observed every year all over India. On this occasion, the Ordnance Factory, Field Gun Factory, Small Arms Factory, Ordnance Parachute Factory, and Ordnance Equipment Factory acknowledge the day.



*World Sleep Day* is a call to action on important issues related to sleep, including medicine, education, social aspects, and driving. The slogan of World Sleep Day is *Better Sleep, Better Life, Better Planet.*

1946-  *Prithviraj Chavan,* politician who was the 17th Chief Minister of Maharashtra, a state in Western India.


1965-  *Alisha Chinai,* Indian pop singer known for her Indi-pop albums as well as playback singing in Hindi cinema.


1976-  *Sumeet Sachdev,* Indian actor and architect.


1992-  *Mandar Rao Dessai,* Indian professional footballer who plays as a left winger or left back for both Goa and the Indian national team.

Significance of 01st July:
