Significance of 20th June:


World Refugee Day is observed annually on 20 June to raise awareness about the struggles that refugees face around the world. World Refugee Day also marks a key moment for the public to show support for families forced to flee.

1840 - Samuel Morse receives the patent for the telegraph.

1877- Alexander Graham Bell installs the world's first commercial telephone service in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

1958- Smt. Droupadi Murmu is an Indian politician who is the 15th President of India since 2022. She was the 8th Governor of Jharkhand from May 2015 to July 2021.
