World Sickle Cell Awareness Day is held annually since 2008 to raise awareness about Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and the struggle that the sufferers or a patient family face.
Since 19th June 1996, the P N Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra and P N Panicker Foundation have been celebrating National Reading Day. This day is celebrated to encourage reading and support literacy. In Kerala, this day is known as Vaayanadinam, which translates to “National Reading Day.”
