International Day for Biological Diversity is observed on 22 May every year to increase awareness and understanding of the issues of biodiversity.


1906- The Wright brothers, Wilbur and Orville, were granted US Patent No. 821,393 for a "Flying Machine".

1990- Microsoft releases Windows 3.0. This version introduced a graphical user interface (GUI) and improved multitasking capabilities.

2004- Manmohan Singh was an Indian economist, bureaucrat, and academician who served as the prime minister of India from 22 May 2004 to 26 May 2014.

2017- U.S. President Donald Trump visits the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and becomes the first sitting U.S. president to visit the Western Wall.
