Significance of 21st April:

The Government of India observes the 21st of April every year as 'National Civil Services Day'. This is an occasion for the civil servants to rededicate themselves to the cause of citizens and renew their commitment to public service and excellence in work.


1526- The last ruler of the Lodi dynasty, Ibrahim Lodi was defeated and killed by Babur in the First Battle of Panipat.

1948- UN Security Council Resolution 47 relating to Kashmir conflict is adopted.

1972- Apollo 16 Lunar Module, commanded by John Young and piloted by Charles Duke, lands on the Moon.

Significance of 01st July:
