Significance of 20th April:



Easter Sunday is celebrated by Christians to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This event, described in the New Testament, is believed to have occurred on the third day after his crucifixion and burial. It marks the triumph of good over evil and is a central tenet of the Christian faith, offering hope and renewal.


1862- Louis Pasteur and Claude Bernard complete the experiment disproving the theory of spontaneous generation.

1972- Apollo 16 lunar module, commanded by John Young and piloted by Charles Duke, lands on the moon.

2006- India announces the establishment of its first foreign military base in Tajikistan.
