World Parkinson's Day is observed annually on April 11 to bring attention to this degenerative condition of the neurological system. Over 10 million people worldwide suffer from Parkinson's disease, according to the latest data from the Parkinson's Foundation.


1919- The International Labour Organization (ILO) was founded.

1930- Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh was opened to the general public.

1970- Apollo Program: Apollo 13 is launched.

2006- Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announces Iran's claim to have successfully enriched uranium.
