Significance of 1st February:

On 1st February, The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) celebrates its foundation day. This year, the Indian Coast Guard is celebrating its 49th Raising Day.  Indian Coast Guard has played a significant role in securing the Indian Coasts and enforcing regulations within the Maritime Zones of India.

1963-  A male peafowl or  peacock (Pavo cristatus) was declared the National Bird of India because of its rich religious and legendary involvement in Indian traditions.

2005- King Gyanendra of Nepal carries out an illegal and overt attempt by a military organization  to capture the democracy, becoming Chairman of the Councils of ministers.

Significance of 01st July:
